New workshop: Creating Escape Room Programs and Other Immersive Experiences in Libraries

CHICAGO—91´«Ã½ Publishing eLearning Solutions announces an exciting new workshop, with Ellyssa Kroski. This workshop will last 90 minutes and take place at 2:30pm Eastern/1:30 Central/12:30 Mountain/11:30am Pacific on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019.

These engaging and captivating games that can be designed around nearly any theme—from zombies to pirates to detective dramas—are being used by libraries in a multitude of ways. They can be employed for marketing and outreach, engaging library patrons, incorporating instruction and experiential learning outcomes, and team-building and training for staff.
In this new workshop, Ellyssa Kroski, author of , shows you how you can create an escape room experience from scratch, regardless of your level of personal experience.
About the Instructor
Ellyssa Kroski is the Director of Information Technology at the New York Law Institute as well as an award-winning editor and author of 37 books, including Law Librarianship in the Digital Age, for which she won the AALL's 2014 Joseph L. Andrews Legal Literature Award. Her ten-book technology series The Tech Set won the 91´«Ã½'s Best Book in Library Literature Award in 2011. She is a librarian, an adjunct faculty member at Drexel and San Jose State University, and an international conference speaker. She was honored with the 2017 Library Hi Tech Award from the 91´«Ã½/LITA for her long-term contributions in the area of Library and Information Science technology and its application.
