ALSC now accepting applications for Strengthening Communities Through Libraries Minigrants

CHICAGO — The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is now accepting online applications for the Strengthening Communities Through Libraries Minigrants. These grants are made possible through a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

Proposals should include programming that strengthens community opportunities for STEAM learning during school breaks. ALSC will award fourteen $5,000 Strengthening Communities Through Libraries minigrants to members in public libraries and develop supplemental resources that will be made widely available to support the out-of-school time programming of libraries and other community organizations. The deadline to apply is Nov. 9, 2018.

Applicants must be personal members of ALSC and recipient libraries must be within 20 miles of a Dollar General location. For more information and to apply for the Strengthening Communities Through Libraries Minigrant, please visit .
