Librarians Residing Outside the U.S. Have the Opportunity to Receive up to $2,500 for Conference-Related Expenses

IPSWICH, Mass. — The (91´«Ã½) and (EBSCO) are partnering to offer three scholarships to librarians residing outside of the United States who are looking to attend the 2019 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference & Exhibition.

This year’s conference will take place from June 20 – 25 in Washington D.C. These scholarships will allow librarians from across the globe to take advantage of the conference’s professional development, educational and networking opportunities.

Each scholarship will provide up to $2,500 to defray the cost of conference registration, travel and expenses. The scholarship recipients will be honored by EBSCO and 91´«Ã½ representatives during the conference at a breakfast hosted by EBSCO.

The application deadline is Jan. 1, 2019, and entries will be evaluated by a jury designated by 91´«Ã½. Candidates must be an 91´«Ã½ member and submit an essay that answers the question: “Libraries, librarians and researchers become more technologically sophisticated every day. What challenges do you hope technology can address in the next five years to meet the needs of librarians and researchers?”
