New video PSAs starring Constance Wu promote library resources

CHICAGO – Constance Wu, star of the soon-to-be released film “Crazy Rich Asians,” is featured in three new video Public Service Announcements (PSAs) promoting the transformative resources available at libraries. In the PSAs, Wu shares her love of libraries and explains how they advance inclusion and education for people of all backgrounds. The PSAs are free and are available for .
91ý members and library supporters are encouraged to share and post the PSAs to library webpages and social media channels to publicize the critical role libraries and librarians play in lifelong learning and transforming lives. Social media graphics and sample posts for the PSAs are also provided.
Wu also makes her debut in a new READ® poster, which is available for purchase at the . Wu is best known for her roles in the web series “EastSiders” and ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat.” She has also had supporting roles in “Law & Order: SVU,” “Torchwood,” “Covert Affairs,” and “One Life to Live.” In 2017, she was named one of the TIME 100, an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Wu stars as Rachel in the romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians,” based on the worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan. The story follows Rachel as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick, to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that he has neglected to mention a few key details about his life…including the fact that he is from one of the country’s wealthiest families and is one of its most sought-after bachelors. “Crazy Rich Asians,” directed by Jon M. Chu, opens August 15.
