Social Media Savvy Members Sought for New AASL Posting Group

CHICAGO – The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) seeks school library professionals to serve as members of the AASL Social Media Posting Group. Group members will be tasked with curating and composing social media posts to share on AASL platforms. To apply, visit .
Social Media Posting Group applicants should demonstrate the ability to use social media in areas of interest to school library and education professionals on a daily or weekly basis. Those interested will be asked to sign a writing agreement and accept a term of no less than 3 months and no longer than 12 months. Applicants must be a current, personal member of AASL to be considered.
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis at . The Social Media Editorial Board will review applications and make appointments to the posting group as needed. Posting group terms may be renewed as determined by the editorial board.
AASL’s social media platforms are a vehicle to share AASL news and information; educational trends; and interact with the public, members of the school library profession, and other educational outlets and organizations. Content shared on AASL's social media platforms advances the association’s mission to empower leaders to transform teaching and learning.
