LLAMA webinar helps you overcome imposter syndrome at your workplace

91ý

Do you or someone you know, work with, or manage, have a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud at work? It may be a case of imposter syndrome. This form of Intellectual self-doubt is a common psychological pattern in which people doubt their accomplishments and have an ongoing, often internalized, fear of being found out. It can sometimes lead to difficulty excelling in in an area of interest, even with strong professional and personal support. The good news is there are simple things you can learn to do to tackle impostor syndrome.

The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Battling Impostor Syndrome in the Workplace,” on June 13, at 1:30 pm-3:00 pm, Central Time. In this webinar, you will discover what impostor syndrome is, how people fall into it, and what strategies can combat or prevent it.

Attendees will learn:

- The markers of impostor syndrome and its causes

- How to successfully coexist with impostor syndrome

- Ways to build self-worth through the use and acceptance of compliments and positive feedback

- How impostor syndrome creates barriers to successful job hunting, interviewing, and everyday work
