Hart and Ryszka earn 2018 ALCTS Honors

CHICAGO—The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) is pleased to announce that the following two ALCTS members have been awarded ALCTS Honors in 2018.

  • Andrew Hart, Head, Preservation Department, University of North Carolina
  • Deborah Ryszka, Librarian and Coordinator, Copy Cataloging Unit, University of Delaware

“The 2018 recipients of the ALCTS Honors awards represent the outstanding culture of service within ALCTS,” said ALCTS President Mary Beth Thomson. “Over the years, Andy and Debbie have given freely of their time, energy, and expertise. I thank them for their commitment to ALCTS and their tireless work to support and improve the Association.”

ALCTS Honors are given by the ALCTS Board of Directors for outstanding contributions at all levels within ALCTS, stellar dedication to service, uncompromising commitment to excellence, willingness to accept challenges and a sustained and exemplary record of moving ALCTS forward. This award consists of a citation, and will be presented on June 23 at the ALCTS Awards Ceremony during the 2018 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) Annual Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans.

The (ALCTS) is the national association for information providers who work in collections and technical services, such as acquisitions, cataloging, collection development, preservation and continuing resources in digital and print formats. ALCTS is a division of the 91´«Ã½.
