Learn to conquer the digital world at PR Forum 2018

91´«Ã½

CHICAGO – In today’s world, it’s not a matter of whether or not you engage in social media and digital marketing but how well you do it. At the 2018 PR Forum, being held 2:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 24, at 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference in New Orleans, learn how to determine which social platform is best for your library, how to develop compelling content and how to discover conversations you can become a part of.

New Orleans’ own Olivia Parker, digital associate account executive at local marketing firm DEVENEY, will discuss how to figure out where your library belongs in the digital space and the strategies to become an active voice in your community by understanding whom you’re talking to, who is listening and what they want to hear.

The PR Forum session is designed to help libraries:

  • discover how to leverage digital marketing to engage, activate and galvanize your local community;
  • learn how to analyze and optimize a presence on social media networks;
  • discover how to establish a voice and persona, learning from relevant case studies from the pros like Merriam-Webster; and
  • review best practices for content creation and community management.

At DEVENEY, Parker assists clients such as Southern Quality Ford, Dark Sky Geneva Lake and Studio Health, advising and managing their digital marketing development and execution. She is also an integral part of the team’s in-house digital marketing efforts. Prior to working at DEVENEY, Parker was a brand manager for Pheast Food Group, as well as a first-grade teacher. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, where she majored in public relations. She is also a member of the New Orleans’ Young Leadership Council.

PR Forum will take place in Room 286-287 in the Morial Convention Center. More information can be found in the .
