New workshop—Makerspaces: Embracing DIY Culture at Your Library

91´«Ã½

CHICAGO—91´«Ã½ Publishing eLearning Solutions announces an exciting new workshop, with Ellyssa Kroski. This workshop will last 90 minutes and take place at 1:30pm Eastern/12:30pm Central/11:30am Mountain/10:30am Pacific on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

Makerspaces are creative, DIY spaces where people gather to create, invent, and learn. Library makerspaces often have 3-D printers, software, electronics, craft and hardware supplies, and more. Many libraries are already building their own dedicated makerspaces and developing valuable STEM programming based on the makerspace tools and technologies available.

If you haven’t yet gotten involved, this workshop is for you. Veteran library technologist Ellyssa Kroski will show you what you need to get started. You’ll learn about how makerspaces can be launched in a variety of physical, community and financial settings and how they can best benefit your patrons.
