Joanna Voss receives ProQuest Coutts Award for Innovation

CHICAGO—The Association of Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) (CMS) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2018 ProQuest Coutts Award for Innovation. Joanna Voss, collections analyst at OhioLINK, is recognized for her leadership in improving workflow and data sharing management of electronic resources for OhioLINK members. The award recognizes significant and innovated contributions to electronic collections management and development practice. The recipient receives a $2,000 award generously donated by and a citation. The ProQuest Coutts Award for Innovation will be presented on Saturday, June 23 at the ALCTS Awards Ceremony at the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) Annual Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans, La.

Voss developed new and efficient processes and tools in order to improve workflows, communication and data sharing for 120 OhioLINK members; worked to ensure accurate access (and perpetual rights) to consortial packages; and successfully advocated for better delivery mechanisms for content and usage data from library vendors and publishers. Voss empowered librarians, through collaboration and training, to leverage the data they already have in order to analyze collections using data analysis and visualization tools.

The (ALCTS) is the national association for information providers who work in collections and technical services, such as acquisitions, cataloging, collection development, preservation and continuing resources in digital and print formats. ALCTS is a division of the 91´«Ã½.
