Susan Yutzey wins a year of free AASL membership
91´«Ã½
CHICAGO – By sharing the wealth of AASL membership with a colleague, Susan Yutzey has won a free year of AASL membership. Yutzey's name was drawn as a monthly winner of the American Association of School Librarians’ (AASL) Share the Wealth Campaign. By referring Lori Lee to AASL, Yutzey has also been entered to win an AASL National Conference & Exhibition grand prize package, which includes registration, airfare, and hotel accommodations.
When asked why she recommended AASL membership to her colleague, Yutzey, past president of the Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA), replied: “I believe that AASL has much to offer school librarians, especially those who are recently elected to the OELMA Board of Directors. Lori is the director of teaching & learning and will be overseeing OELMA's professional development and professional standards subcommittees. With the implementation of the new AASL National School Library Standards, Lori will have access to all the resources AASL provides that will support OELMA and its members as we move forward with the Ohio Department of Education to write the new library curriculum.”
Using the “Share the Wealth” membership acceptance form located on the AASL website, all current, personal AASL members are encouraged to reach out to their colleagues and invite them to join the only national professional organization focused on school librarians and the school library community.
For each member recruited, the referring AASL member will receive an entry in a monthly drawing for a complimentary year of 91´«Ã½ and AASL membership. Their name will also be entered into a final grand prize drawing for an AASL National Conference & Exhibition package, which includes registration, three nights lodging and round-trip airfare to Louisville, Kentucky, in November 2019. Multiple referrals will be accepted and will increase their chances to win.
To participate and earn entry into prize drawings, membership acceptance forms must be returned with payment directly to AASL. Memberships processed by 91´«Ã½ – either online or on paper – will not be included in the “Share the Wealth” campaign. For complete program rules and regulations, visit .
