Revamping Your Space—Creating a Modern Media Center: An American Libraries Live Webcast

91´«Ã½

CHICAGO — In the August episode of AL Live, you’ll join the School Outfitters team and Sycamore Community (Ohio) School District leaders to discuss tips for creating a modern media center. They’ll show you how they’ve converted Sycamore High School’s library from an outdated, underused center with dusty shelves and heavy, bulky furniture to a modern media center that engages students. Working with a team of administrators as well as designers and architects, School Outfitters brought the space back to life. It now features lightweight, mobile furniture, plenty of group seating, and tech-friendly furnishings, making it the school’s main hub of activity. In this episode, you’ll learn the next steps for creating a vision for your library space that matches your organization’s mission and draws more users into your library.
