Adam Szczepaniak, Jr. elected ASCLA President 2018-2019

CHICAGO - Adam Szczepaniak, Jr., Deputy State Librarian & Director at New Jersey State Library - Talking Book & Braille Center elected President for 2018-19 for the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) division of the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½).
Over his 20 years as an 91´«Ã½ member, Szczepaniak has been involved with ASCLA's Accessibility Assembly, Nominating Committee and Planning and Budget Committee among other involvement.
"I have been a professional librarian for forty years and worked in a variety of settings including academic and biomedical libraries as well as libraries serving individuals who are print impaired. In each library there was not a silo environment, rather there exists a relationship not only to similar libraries, but to all libraries." Szczepaniak said in his run for presidency.
Other individuals elected to ASCLA leadership roles include: Directors-at-Large: Lily Sacharow and Erin Boyington, Designated Director, Special Populations: Carrie Scott Banks and Designated Director, Library Consultants: Amy Jane Paget.
