Share your best practice at AASL National Conference

CHICAGO – The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) is now accepting proposals for the best practice showcase to be held during the AASL 18th National Conference & Exhibition taking place Nov. 9-11, 2017, in Phoenix, Ariz. More information is available at . Completed proposals must be submitted by Friday, March 24, 2017, to be considered.

The IdeaLab is a best practice event showcasing collaborative projects leading the way in school library program development. Presenters are required to prepare an electronic presentation with eye-appealing visuals along with a short presentation for visiting attendees. A take-away in the form of a handout is encouraged.

AASL seeks proposals on the following topics:

  • Blended learning
  • Flipped classroom
  • Interconnected learning – #global education
  • Media literacy
  • National standards
  • Next generation science standards
  • One-to-one
  • STEM/STEAM/Make
  • Technology Integration

The AASL National Conference & Exhibition is the only national conference dedicated solely to the needs of school librarians and their roles as educational leaders. The 18th National Conference & Exhibition, “,” taking place Nov. 9-11, 2017, in Phoenix, Arizona, will feature preconference workshops, concurrent sessions and an exhibition featuring companies relevant to the profession.
