How to Run Great Webinars Workshop

A 90-minute workshop, Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 2:30pm Eastern/1:30 Central/12:30 Mountain/11:30am Pacific

No matter what kind of library you work in, you know that librarianship is a profession that requires constant training and constant learning. Webinars—live training sessions conducted online—are an easy and effective way to provide training to people regardless of their physical location. They save you money by eliminating the need for travel, and allow instructors to sync up with students in different time zones and all over the world.

When you conduct a webinar, not only do you create an interactive, dynamic, and flexible training resource, but one that can be recorded for future use. In this workshop, Dan Freeman, 91´«Ã½ Publishing eLearning Solutions' Director, will give you the information you need to run effective, productive webinars that fit your needs and budget.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about topics such as:

  • Defining webinars and their benefits; comparing online to in-person presentation
  • Choosing the right webinar platform for your needs and budget
  • How to shape your content into a great online presentation
  • Why librarians love webinars; how to make an event ideal for a library audience
  • Assessing the effectiveness of your online training
