American Libraries Live updates format

91´«Ã½

CHICAGO — 91´«Ã½ eLearning Solutions and American Libraries are adding some exciting updates to the popular monthly webcast American Libraries Live. AL Live has been helping to keep the library community up on the latest trends and discussions in our profession for more than three years, and to better serve our viewers, they are making some adjustments to the format.

Starting in September, AL Live will move from Google+ Hangouts to Cisco Webex. This will allow viewers to more easily register for events, receive event reminders, participate in live chat during the events and view event recordings. Webex will allow for a more technically reliable, user-friendly and accessible event.

The discussion-based, interactive panel format that has made AL Live so popular will remain. Each month, a group of experts and industry leaders will come together to discuss various topics that are crucial to today's librarian. Participants will be encouraged to participate in the discussion via live chat and Twitter, and will help to shape the direction of the conversation as it progresses.

The AL Live web page and archives will be switching from its current location at to a new space within the American Libraries site. When this new site is complete, this site will redirect to the new location.
