CHICAGO—Beginning September 12, 2016, the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) will offer a six week course on using the instructional design process and how to apply it effectively in the library.

Taught by Carla James, PhD Candidate for Instructional Design and Technology at Old Dominion University, students will learn to apply an appropriate instructional design model for library instruction, develop task analysis and create a complete instructional unit. Librarians and/or library staff in public, school, academic and/or special libraries with instructional duties will benefit from this course.
