LeBeau elected RUSA 2017-2018 president

CHICAGO — Chris LeBeau, assistant teaching professor /learning and research librarian at the University of Missouri, iSchool / University of Missouri-Kansas City, has been elected the 2017-2018 president of the Reference and User Services Association, (RUSA). Prior to working in her current position, LeBeau was the reference librarian and coordinator of electronic services at Creighton University.

LeBeau has been involved in 91´«Ã½ and RUSA for many years, holding a variety of positions, including past chair and committee member of the 91´«Ã½ Business Reference and Services Section (BRASS) Vendor Relations Committee for almost three years and past chair of 91´«Ã½ BRASS for six years. She also co-chaired RUSA Review and was an active team member and co-author of .

“I look forward to deeper involvement with RUSA and collaborating with so many dedicated RUSA members. RUSA has been a welcoming professional home for me for a long time,” LeBeau said.

LeBeau will become RUSA president-elect at the conclusion of the 91´«Ã½ 2016 Annual Conference this June and will assume the RUSA presidency in June 2017 for one year.
