91´«Ã½ Appoints Roger Rosen as Senior Advisor for National Policy Advocacy

The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Rosen as a senior advisor in its Office for Information Technology Policy (OITP). In this capacity, Rosen will provide guidance on a broad range of topics in OITP’s new Program on Youth & Technology, which is focused on how libraries are well-placed to advance the creative and innovative thinking and learning needed by youth in the digital society. He also will advise on the association’s “Libraries Ready to Code” project. A collaboration between Google and 91´«Ã½, this new project will promote coding and computational thinking and interest among young people, especially for those from groups underrepresented in computer science-related educational programs and careers.
Roger Rosen is president and CEO of the Manhattan-based educational house Rosen Publishing, an independent business founded in 1950. Rosen Publishing produces more than 1,000 new pre-K–12 titles per year in various print and digital formats and also offers subscription databases, specializing in what Rosen has called “compelling content correlated to curriculum."

Rosen’s engagement may include varied activities, such as writing articles or op-eds and giving speeches and presentations, to accompanying 91´«Ã½ representatives in meetings with government or corporate officials and participating in strategy and planning meetings.
