CHICAGO — 91ý Publishing eLearning announces a new workshop, with Katie LaMantia and Emily Vinci. This workshop will last 90 minutes and is hosted live at 2:30 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2016.

It’s no surprise that library programming is a powerful tool to engage patrons and keep them coming back for more. In this workshop, popular duo Katie LaMantia and Emily Vinci, known for their successful workshop “Building Great Programs for Patrons in their 20s and 30s,” will enlighten and empower you to approach programming in a different way. You will get tips to invigorate your programs for all ages by taking cues from pop culture and fandom.

Emily and Katie will keep you on the edge of your seat while they share unique examples of successful programs where they’ve incorporated pop culture and nostalgia themes to appeal to a wider range of audiences. You’ll leave the session with several programming ideas and the knowledge of how to use pop culture to keep library programs timely, relevant, and updated with responsive subject matter, which in turn will keep your programs feeling fresh and new. You’ll learn how to use your library resources in exciting ways to put a new spin on programming all while continuing to provide value and a sense of community to your users.

She has a personal and professional appreciation and interest in pop culture and has presented at multiple state and national library conferences about libraries, teens, and 20s and 30s programming.
