Learn how to produce, record and deliver podcasts to your patrons in upcoming PLA webinar

CHICAGO – Join the Public Library Association (PLA) to learn how to use podcasting as an efficient and easy method to share news and information, promote programs and services and distribute other important content to your patrons. “” will take place at 1 p.m. Central on Nov. 18.
Instructor Jeffrey P. Fisher, studio services manager at Studio 300 in the Fountaindale Public Library (Bolingbrook, Illinois), will teach participants how to plan a podcast and develop its format, find content, write the script and prepare for recording. Participants will also learn what equipment, software and other tools are necessary to produce high-quality podcasts and how to deliver and promote finished podcasts to patrons.
The cost to attend “” is $28 (PLA Members), $31.50 (91ý Members) and $35 (Nonmembers). Groups of any size can register for $129. The registration deadline is 11:59 p.m. Central on Monday, Nov. 16.
The (PLA) is a division of the 91ý. PLA’s core purpose is to strengthen public libraries and their contribution to the communities they serve. Its mission is to enhance the development and effectiveness of public library staff and public library services.
