Sarah Hill elected for 2016-2017 YALSA presidency

CHICAGO — Members of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½), selected Sarah Hill as the division’s next president-elect. Hill will begin her term as president-elect in June 2015, becoming president for one year in June 2016.

"A huge thank you to all YALSA members who voted in the 2015 election — I'm honored to be elected president-elect of an organization full of energetic people dedicated to providing top-notch library services for and with teens. I'm looking forward to working with the YALSA Board of Directors over the next few years as we create and implement a new strategic plan to make YALSA even stronger,” Hill said.

Hill is an information services librarian at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. She served as Illinois School Library Media Association President in 2011 - 2012. Hill has also served on a variety of 91´«Ã½ and YALSA committees, including the Alex Award Committee and the RUSA/YALSA Young Adult Reference Committee.

In addition, YALSA elected two new members of its board of directors, a new division councilor and new members for its 2017 Edwards, Printz and Nonfiction committees. The full YALSA election results are posted at .
