CHICAGO — 91ý TechSource introduces a new workshop , with Molly Wetta and Kate Tkacik. This 90-minute workshop is hosted live at 2:30 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.
Tumblr saw so many book lovers on its platform that it started its own book club! When you tap into Tumblr’s vibrant community of publishers—young adult authors, avid readers and librarians—you will also connect with your local community. Tumblr thrives on fandom, passion sharing, called “reblogs,” which extends the reach of your content and strengthens community. After getting you started with the basics of Tumblr culture, getting buy-in from administrators, and coordinating a contributor team, Molly Wetta and Kate Tkacik will show you how to join the conversation and draw in your patrons.
Topics covered will include:
- How to review books with GIFs
- Recommend tags for boosting your reblogs
- Sharing readers advisory flowcharts and graphics
- Curating offbeat booklists
- Bringing book clubs online
- Delivering personalized reading suggestions through Tumblr's ask box features
