91´«Ã½

CHICAGO — Join the Public Library Association (PLA) for the preconference on Friday, June 26, at the 2015 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference in San Francisco. PLA will convene representatives from up to 50 public libraries and train them on the use of performance measurement surveys and how to interpret and use the data to improve the efficacy of and support for their programs over time.

Library leaders from PLA’s (PMTF) will kick off the session by describing their experience in pilot-testing seven core performance measures. Attendees will learn how to deploy outcome measures in their libraries, collect and use resulting data and leverage the project support network to ensure successful adoption.

Because this preconference is not a stand-alone event, attendees will be expected to administer the surveys in their libraries, report results to an online portal, utilize support tools to implement results for activities such as planning and advocacy and participate in a community of practice.

for the Performance Measures Launch preconference is free to representatives from up to 50 public libraries. Interested libraries must apply and be accepted to participate. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Friday, Feb. 20. 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference registration is not required to attend.
