Hannivett D. Nabahe selected as the 2014 David H. Clift Scholarship recipient

91´«Ã½

CHICAGO — The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) has named Hannivett D. Nabahe of Tucson, Ariz., as the 2014 David H. Clift Scholarship recipient.

The David H. Clift Scholarship was named for a former director of the 91´«Ã½. The $3,000 scholarship is awarded to a person pursuing a master's degree in library and information studies.

For the past five years, Nabahe has worked in a public library, where she conducts instruction in various areas including GED preparation and computer skills. One reference stated that Nabehe “provides excellent customer service as she works with underserved and often marginalized patrons with compassion and understanding resulting in high outcomes for these customers.”

Nabahe says, “Regardless of the capacity under which I happen to be working, days at the library are never without a generous dose of insight. That continues to be my favorite part of working there: no two days are alike.” Another reference stated that “she is one of the most enthusiastic library workers I have known. It is not unusual to hear her say at the end of her shift, “I love the library.””

Nabahe will be attending the University of Arizona.
