CHICAGO — During the 91´«Ã½ 2014 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, the 91´«Ã½ JobLIST Placement Center will introduce several new activities to help library workers get their careers on track.

From 2 - 3 p.m. on Saturday June 28, 2014, there will be a ‘Check Out a Librarian’ event. This event is designed for librarians who are looking to find their professional niche and/or those who want to move up the librarianship ladder but aren’t sure how. You’re invited to talk with working librarians who are doing great and interesting things with their careers. Find out how to get a job, move into a more specialized area or move into your career goals. You can also talk with librarians who have been participating in amazing activities such as the 91´«Ã½ Emerging Leaders Program. All types of libraries will be represented. Libraries are changing and you need to be ready. This event will help you do just that. No appointment needed.

From 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014, there will be ‘On-the- Fly Mentoring.’ This event is designed for those who may be looking for some professional guidance. Members of the ACRL - University Libraries Section will be on hand to talk with conference attendees about any and all aspects of your career. Mentoring sessions are available by appointment and on a first-come drop-in basis.

From 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29, 2014, there will be a fantastic new photography service offered. Conference attendees will have an opportunity to have a "headshot" photo package created. Any attendee can sign-up for an appointment with 91´«Ã½'s conference photography team to have a professional photo taken and set of digital images created for the attendees' use in job applications, social media and other networking opportunities. Appointments can be made in advance and onsite. For advance appointments, use the online .

There is a nominal fee of $15 which can be paid either in advance with a check or money order, or onsite with cash, money order or check only. All advance payments must be received by Monday, June 16, 2014.
