PHILADELPHIA — Emily St. John Mandel will join the lineup of authors at United for Libraries’ Gala Author Tea, sponsored by ReferenceUSA, at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at the 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

(“Station Eleven,” Knopf/Random House) was born in British Columbia, Canada. She is the author of three previous novels – “Last Night in Montreal,” “The Singer's Gun” and “The Lola Quartet” — all of which were Indie Next picks. She is a staff writer for The Millions, and her work has appeared in numerous anthologies, including “The Best American Mystery Stories 2013.” She lives in New York City with her husband.

The Gala Author Tea, sponsored by ReferenceUSA, will also feature , author of the bestselling “The Weight of Silence” and the forthcoming “Little Mercies” (MIRA/Harlequin); , Edgar Award-winning author of the Kate Martinelli novels and the acclaimed Mary Russell-Sherlock Holmes mysteries; (“Mambo in Chinatown, Riverhead/Penguin), whose bestselling debut novel “Girl in Translation” has been assigned in colleges and high schools across the country, and (“The 6th Extinction,” William Morrow/HarperCollins), whose bestselling international thrillers have been translated into more than 40 languages.

Authors will discuss their writing lives and forthcoming books. A light offering of tea, finger sandwiches and a variety of sweet treats will be served. A book signing (with complimentary ARCs and books) will follow.
