PLA offering three preconferences for public library staff at 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference

CHICAGO — On Friday morning, June 27, of the 2014 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference in Las Vegas, the Public Library Association (PLA) is sponsoring three preconferences ideal for public library professionals.

    Hear how three libraries—all in different phases of their brand's lifecycle—moved beyond the glitz and glitter to create brands that resonate with staff and customers alike. Presenters: Kyle Cox, Mid-Columbia Libraries, Kennewick, Wash.; Stacie Ledden, communications director, Anythink Libraries, Thornton, Colo.; Jim Staley, Mid-Continent Public Library, Independence, Mo.

    Come learn the transformative power of reframing failure, the true meaning of "yes, and" and the kinds of listening that change lives:
