CHICAGO — Exciting preconferences are coming your way during this year's 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) in Las Vegas from the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (). From Fundamentals of Collection Assessment to Streaming Media, there is a preconference that meets your need. Fundamentals of Collection Assessment

Thursday, June 26, 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. - Friday, June 27, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Modeled on the popular six-week online course, this preconference introduces the fundamental aspects of collection assessment in libraries. The course is designed for those who are responsible for or interested in collection assessment in all types and sizes of libraries. The course will introduce key concepts in collection assessment including the definition of collection assessment; techniques and tools; assessment of print and electronic collections; and project design and management.

Join the ALCTS Acquisitions Section, Organization & Management Committee as we explore the options for making more decisions based on discoverable statistics and reports.
