About the Instructor

Brett W. Lear is the director of the Martin County Library System in Florida. He has worked in libraries for more than 27 years and has held positions at the University of Florida, New York Public Library, Florida State University, Jefferson County Public Library (Colo.), and Multnomah County Library (Ore.). In addition to serving on national committees such as the Services to Adults Committee and the Library Services to the Spanish Speaking Committee, he has presented programming workshops in Colorado, Kansas, Iowa and Florida.
