91´«Ã½
CHICAGO — Everybody knows that some stories are more compelling than others. Now you can discover how to select and communicate the stories of your library’s successes in ways that will have the greatest impact and will produce the results you need. The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Library Outcomes: Stories that Matter” from 1:30 to 3 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Description: This webinar will present a step-by-step process for identifying and communicating the impact your library has had on your community or larger institution.
At the end of this webinar participants will:
- understand the power that stories can have in communicating your goals, whether the goals are to increase funding, to influence the legislature or to communicate to patrons and alumni about the transformation from a traditional library to a community destination;
- know how to show the impact your library has on your community;
- understand how to produce outcomes-based examples of library success;
- have access to "guides" that provide a step-by-step process on gathering stories with impact. These guides were created through a partnership between the Michigan Library Association and Gale Cengage Learning that involved six pilot libraries.
Who should attend: Public and academic librarians
Presenters: Diane Sweetwood, senior market research manager, Cengage Learning; Julie Pepera, library customer education specialist, Cengage Learning
