ALCTS offers exciting new guides and webinars for “Sudden Selectors”

CHICAGO — Library professionals suddenly tasked with selecting resources in new and unfamiliar subject areas have two new books and webinars to help them from the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS).

ALCTS Publishing has released two new guides: by Flora G. Shrode and by Elizabeth Brown. Available in both print and PDF e-book in the 91ý Online Store. These guides offer an abundance of resources for new or seasoned science selectors and are reasonably priced at $28.50.

Shrode and Brown will present an ALCTS webinar based on each author’s guide, including an overview of the resources, the challenges in producing a Sudden Selector’s guide and the opportunity to address specific questions from attendees about selecting for science collections.
