CHICAGO — The third Preservation Week took place April 22-28, 2012. Preservation Week, sponsored by the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) and its Preservation & Reformatting Section (PARS), is an opportunity to connect the care of collections and family treasures with your communities. Over the last two years, hundreds of events providing preservation education to the public have taken place in public, academic and school libraries, state agencies, archives, museums and historical societies.

The Preservation Week Working Group would like to get a better understanding of how well Preservation Week is reaching its intended audience and how successful your institution’s Preservation Week was in 2012. To gather this information, we invite you to . Only one person from each institution should fill out the survey.

The information gathered in this survey will be used to analyze the various aspects of preparing for Preservation Week, promoting Preservation Week and the content that the Working Group is creating.

Preservation Week has two Web pages containing information for Preservation Week. One Web page has information about planning a Preservation Week event. The second Web page is focused on providing to the public.

Preservation Week 2012 also marked the first time that Preservation Week had its own page and account.
