EBSCO Information Services and the 91´«Ã½ award ten librarians with scholarships to attend 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference

(EBSCO) in partnership with the (91´«Ã½) has awarded ten scholarships to librarians to attend the 2022 , the first in-person event hosted by 91´«Ã½ since 2019. These scholarships are intended to help librarians defray the cost of travel and other expenses so they can take advantage of the conference’s professional development and networking opportunities.

  • Ashley R Hawkins, School Librarian & Manga Advocate, Brooklyn NY
  • Jessica Regitano, Library Media Specialist, Chittenango Central Schools — Middle School, Chittenango, New York
  • Rukmal Ryder, Librarian, Salem State University, Gloucester, Massachusetts
  • Jennifer Washburn, Student Engagement Librarian, University of North Texas, Denton, Texas
  • Lindsey West, MLIS Student, University of Southern Mississippi, Evans, Georgia

Applicants were asked to share how attending the conference will contribute to their professional development. Award winner Amanda Lorge wrote that attending the 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference will offer significant professional development opportunities. She wrote, “Although I have mentors from my graduate coursework and internships, meeting librarians with more experience in local history and public librarianship at the conference will empower me to provide better resources and programming for the community I am dedicated to educating and supporting.”

EBSCO is dedicated to supporting the library community and maintains a long-standing tradition of co-sponsoring scholarships to 91´«Ã½ conferences that provide funds for conference registration, travel and expenses. The scholarship recipients will be honored by EBSCO and 91´«Ã½ representatives during the conference at a scholarship breakfast.
