New AASL webinar helps school librarians build an engaging website

CHICAGO – A new webinar from the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) will help school librarians create a website that is interactive and engaging to students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders in the learning community. Presented by Brenda Stephens, “Tips and Tricks to Creating a Google Site” will take place at 6 p.m. Central on Thursday, Dec. 4. For more information and to register, visit .
During the webinar, Stephens will guide participants through the process of creating a Google website. She’ll share time saving short cuts and techniques she discovered outside of the help site and video tutorials. In addition, Stephens will demonstrate ways to make sites interactive and engaging, and participants will leave the webinar with a Google website ready to load with material.
Brenda Stephens is an adjunct English instructor at Anderson University and is employed part time by Greenville County Schools. During her career, Stephens has seen how technology can greatly enhance learning for both the student and educator. This has fueled her desire to become a school librarian and develop new and innovative ways to blend technology with education for a stronger education experience.
