PLA Results Boot Camp returns this October to the Nashville Public Library

CHICAGO - The Public Library Association (PLA) is pleased to announce that it will be offering a sixth Results Boot Camp this fall from October 18-22 at the Nashville (Tenn.) Public Library.
is a four and half day intensive education program designed around PLA’s Results series, and is intended to offer public library management training not provided in library school.
Taught by and , Results Boot Camp is interactive, comprehensive and career-changing. By the end of the program, participants will have the skills they need to develop and implement a strategic plan in their libraries. Topics include:
- Strategic Planning
- Data-Based Decision-Making
- Effective Resource Allocation
- Implementation Strategies
- Change Management
Interested librarians are required to fill out an to be accepted into Boot Camp. Participation is limited to ensure an environment that fosters group interaction and active engagement. The application deadline is September 16, 2011. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program within two weeks of submitting an application and can then proceed with registration.
Cost to attend the four and a half day workshop is $795 (PLA Members), $895 (91´«Ã½ Members) and $995 (Nonmembers). For more information and to fill out an application, please visit the
