CHICAGO - At 1 p.m. CDT, June 8, the Public Library Association (PLA) will present a free one-hour webinar.

Moderated by Luis Herrera, San Francisco city librarian, the webinar will feature a panel of PLA Leadership Fellow Scholarship winners who attended executive leadership training programs such as “Senior Executives in State and Local Government” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and “Positive Leadership: Building Extraordinary Personal Leadership Capabilities” at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

These university programs typically draw participants from various disciplines in government, non-profit organizations and the private sector, allowing PLA Fellows to learn leadership and change management concepts among professionals with different perspectives and experiences.

Fellows will share highlights from their programs and illustrate how executive leadership lessons make a difference in their work and libraries. Webinar participants will receive educational resources from the programs and learn how they can bring outside leadership ideas into their libraries.
