91´«Ã½

CHICAGO - The 91´«Ã½ JobLIST Placement Center will sponsor a session entitled "Interview Dance Steps: Making the Right Moves to Land the Right Job" from 3:30 - 5 p.m. CDT on Sunday, June 26 during the 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference in New Orleans.

A job interview is not a singular event but a combination of complex dance moves with an unfamiliar partner. In this session you will learn how to navigate the interview waltz to land the right job. Topics will include drafting the just right cover letter and resume, making the most of your time at the interview and negotiating the job offer. Hands-on exercises will prepare attendees for the interview dance and will include reviewing job descriptions as they relate to your resume and cover letter, interview preparation from background research to answering the tough questions and practiced negotiations.

This session will be held in the JobLIST Placement Center, which will be located in Hall J of the Morial Convention Center. It will be presented by Theresa Liedtka, dean of Lupton Library at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and Virginia L. Cairns, head of reference and instruction services at the same institution.
