Every Child Ready to Read® launches new website

CHICAGO - In anticipation of the release of the Every Child Ready to Read® @ your library® 2nd Edition Toolkit, the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) and the Public Library Association (PLA) have launched an updated and redesigned Every Child Ready to Read® (ECRR) website, .
The new website is easy to navigate and includes the research and rationale that led to the development of the 2nd Edition, product details, sales information and a link to an archived copy of the recent .
“With the new website in place and the product coming out soon, this is an exciting time for Every Child Ready to Read,” said Clara Bohrer, chair of the ECRR Task Force and director of the West Bloomfield (Mich.) Public Library.
The second edition of Every Child Ready to Read® @ your library® provides a new curriculum and materials to continue the effort of the original ECRR, supporting parents and caregivers with the early literacy development of their children, birth to age five.
ECRR 2nd Edition was researched by Dr. Susan Neuman, professor in educational studies, University of Michigan School of Education, and Dr. Donna Celano, assistant professor, Communication Department, LaSalle University.
“The second edition of Every Child Ready to Read is the result of lots of exciting research in the field of early reading development and what parents can do to ensure that their children are successful,” said Neuman.
