Recognize your library’s donors with ALTAFF's Major Benefactor Citation

PHILADELPHIA – To recognize individuals, families or corporations that have made major gifts to libraries, the Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½), awards the Major Benefactor Citation.

The Major Benefactor Citation comes with a plaque for the library and a plaque for the donor. These plaques, along with a library celebration and a press release from the library, lets the community know that gifts to the library are truly appreciated and make a real difference. Major Benefactor Citation recipients are featured on ALTAFF’s website, , and a press release about each winner is issued through 91´«Ã½.

Libraries may apply for the Major Benefactor Citation at any time by visiting . Requirements include benefits to the library in the form of money, real or personal property, negotiable paper or other tangible contributions, endorsement by the Board of Trustees of the library involved and a fee of $400 ($300 for ALTAFF members) to cover all administrative costs and materials.
