Nancy Pearl headlines PLA webinar this December

CHICAGO – At 1 p.m. CST on Dec. 13, the Public Library Association (PLA) will host a live, hour-long webinar,
Part of the monthly PLA Webinar Series “Public Libraries at Work,” this event marks Pearl’s first-ever webinar with PLA. Her book recommendations will benefit library staff specializing in readers’ advisory, as well as anyone hoping to find the perfect gifts for family and friends. A downloadable handout of Pearl’s recommendations will be available following the webinar.
Cost to attend the webinar is $28 (PLA Members), $31.50 (91´«Ã½ Members) and $35 (Nonmembers). Groups of any size can register for $129.
The New York Times calls Nancy Pearl “the talk of librarian circles.” She speaks to library and community groups across the country and regularly recommends books on Public Radio International's Morning Edition, as well as on many public radio station programs. She entertains and informs standing-room only crowds and has even had a librarian action figure modeled in her likeness.
