YALSA’s journal wins third APEX Award in a row

CHICAGO — For the third year in the row, Communications Concepts has chosen (YALS), the quarterly journal of the (YALSA), a division of the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½), as a recipient of an Award of Excellence from the .
YALS was recognized in the category of Journals and Magazines over 32 pages. The journal won for issues from its seventh and eighth volumes, which were edited by Sarah Flowers.
YALS is the official journal of YALSA. It serves as a vehicle for continuing education for librarians serving young adults, ages 12 through 18. It includes articles of current interest to the profession, acts as a showcase for best practices, provides news from related fields, spotlights significant events of the organization and offers in-depth reviews of professional literature.
The APEX Awards are chosen based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence. More than 3,700 journals and magazines entered the annual competition. A full list of winners is available at .
