CHICAGO - Nonfiction written for teens is a fast-growing area of young adult literature. Find out the latest and greatest in YA nonfiction — and how to get it into teens’ hands — during YALSA’s Back to the Facts: YA Nonfiction webinar. The webinar will take place at 2 p.m. EDT Aug. 19. Host Angela Carstensen, who chaired the first YALSA’s Award for committee in 2010, will discuss how to collect and evaluate YA nonfiction, highlighting recent award-winning and other excellent nonfiction titles and discussing how the development of ebooks might affect the future of nonfiction. Participants will also learn about recommended review sources, as well as blogs, authors and publishers to watch.
