One-stop destination for online learning launches on 91´«Ã½ website

91´«Ã½

CHICAGO-- has launched at . This new collaborative section of the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) website showcases in one easy-to-find place all web-based professional development offered across the whole association. Online learning opportunities include webinars (live sessions), webcasts (pre-recorded sessions or archived webinars), online courses and e-forums (interactive, asynchronous events with a defined duration).

This new catalog of online continuing education is organized into five categories:

  • Collection Management
  • Issues and Advocacy
  • Management Issues for Library Leaders
  • School Libraries
  • Service Delivery in Libraries

Within these five categories, site visitors will find more than 20 topics covering the gamut of practice, trends and services in librarianship. Clicking on any specific online learning item takes visitors to further information, including content descriptions, dates, how to register, if the event has a fee or is free, pre-requisites (if any) and the instructor or presenter. Over time, the presentation of information will be further standardized for ease of use.

New web-based professional development and learning programs will appear in 91´«Ã½ Online Learning as any unit within the association releases them. In addition to finding opportunities by topic, you can find also online learning offered by a particular unit within 91´«Ã½ under “Offerings by 91´«Ã½ Units.” 91´«Ã½ units not currently listed will be added as they offer programs.
