Applications due June 1 for YALSA's Teen Read Week Mini Grants

(YALSA) will award 10 mini grants of $450 cash and $50 in to YALSA members for special events and services in honor of . Applications for the 2010 Teen Read Week mini grants are due June 1.
The mini grants are funded by , which includes 91´«Ã½ Graphics, Bloomsbury, Carolrhoda Lab, Cinco Puntos, Free Spirit Publishing, Random House, Scholastic, Sleeping Bear Press, the William Morris Endowment and Viz Media.
Guidelines and an application can be downloaded at the . Applications must be sent electronically to yalsa@ala.org by June 1. Winners will be announced the week of August 2.
Teen Read Week will be celebrated Oct. 17-23, with a theme of Books with Beat @ your library, which encourages teens to read poetry, audiobooks, books about music and more, for the fun of it. Registration, activity ideas and more are available at .
