The Jesse H. Shera Award for Distinguished Published Research is given to the author(s) of a research article published in English during the calendar year and nominated by any member of LRRT or by editors of research journals in the field of library and information studies. The Jesse H. Shera Award for the Support of Dissertation Research is designed to provide recognition for dissertation research employing exemplary research design and methods relating in at least a general way to library studies. The award is restricted to research designs that have been approved by the doctoral candidate’s dissertation committee and that are about to be employed or are in the initial stage of use.
