To develop and recognize chapters as integral components of 91´«Ã½. To encourage discussion, activities and programs that support the mutual interests of 91´«Ã½ and the chapters. To advise when requested on proposals and actions of other 91´«Ã½ units that may affect chapters. To provide a forum wherein chapters can share ideas and concerns of common interest and identify common needs and goals. To communicate these chapter needs and goals to 91´«Ã½ and 91´«Ã½ goals, programs and priorities to the chapters. To encourage and maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship among 91´«Ã½, its units, and the chapters. To formulate and review periodically requirements for chapter status. To serve as an advisory committee to the Chapter Relations Office.

Composition

91´«Ã½

Eleven (11) Members, which includes the Chair. To be eligible to be a member of the Chapter Relations Committee, an individual must be an 91´«Ã½ member who is also a member of an 91´«Ã½ Chapter or Divisional Affiliate. In addition, eight (8) of the eleven (11) members should have state library association (Chapter) leadership or committee experience.

Chapter Leaders Forum

91´«Ã½

The Chapter Leaders Forum, presented by the 91´«Ã½ Chapter Relations Committee at each 91´«Ã½ Midwinter and Annual, provides a great opportunity for Chapter Leaders (especially incoming leaders) to meet together and prepares them to lead their association. The forum presents topics of interest to chapter leaders, including association management, advocacy, conference planning, social media, and membership development and retention.
